Bible Questions About God, Life, and Eternity

If good works do not save me, why should I be good?

God is pleased when we do good deeds.  Why are we doing them, is the question.  To gain favor with God to enter Heaven will not win His favor.  After we have believed in Jesus, we are saved by faith alone.  Now our good works count for:  bringing glory to Jesus our Savior, we will know His best life for us, rewards in Heaven for good works done in His Name.

Titus 3:5  “He saved us, not because of the righteous things we had done, but because of His mercy…”

Ephesians 2:10  “For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.”
